Platet Rich Plasma
Platet Rich Plasma
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a liquid obtained from the patient's own blood and contains a high amount of platelets. This fluid is used to accelerate the healing process in the body and promote tissue regeneration.
PRP can be used in a variety of body areas, but is most commonly used to regenerate the skin, repair bone tissue loss, and treat pain and disease.
The PRP procedure begins with the collection of some of the patient's own blood. The blood is separated from the platelets and other components using a centrifuge. The platelet-dense liquid is then prepared for application.
The PRP procedure can be performed using a local anesthetic and usually takes 30 minutes or less. The PRP fluid is administered by needle or microinjection and injected directly into the tissue.
Among the diseases treated with PRP:
- Osteoarthritis
- Tendonitis
- Swelling and pain
- Skin renewal and beautification
- Bone tissue loss
PRP is a safe treatment with a low risk of side effects. However, it may not be suitable for all patients and your doctor will advise you on the most appropriate treatment.
